It was about 1967 I was seeing for the first time The Egyptian Mouth brooder with egg and later fry. It was like a gigantic steep in my aquarium experience for me to seeing this. I was only used to my live-born fishes and this was quite a different type of fish for me. I remember I feel that my friend was many head in front of me in the aquatic terms. It was starting a process inside me. In my mind I feel enormous need to investigate and begin with exploring the egg laying fishes. The Egyptian Mouth brooder was the fish to start the next level in my life with aquariums and breeding fishes. Still today it is intresting and fanny to see this beautiful African dwarfcichlide when it breeding and the care the femal show for the youngster in the first time.
